Our last teenage trip is done. Taylor chose to go to NYC. Even though we'd been there twice, we were happy to go again since that is where she really wanted to be. Honestly, it was a bit hard for me to get excited about all the sites for a third time, but it was really fun to be with Taylor and experience things with her.
We rented a room in a two bedroom apartment. This place was tiny but the location was great (only 1 block from time square).
Because it was so close, we walked down Broadway a ton and got used to the crazy at Time Square.
We rented some bikes and took a nice ride around central park. This place is always a bit amazing to me. A huge, beautiful park in the middles of the busy city.
We stopped halfway and had a picnic. These glasses came in Taylor's kid's meal
This milkshake was huge! the class is covered in candy and it's topped with a huge piece of cotton candy.

I made Brent take this photo because this mini pistachio tarte was one of the best things I've ever eaten! This was next to the church/temple on Sunday (for future reference)

We also saw Hamilton. We got box seats so we were sooo close. That was kind of fun (even though we couldn't see 1/3 of the stage)
The Lego store was one of Taylor's favorite stops. She made a custom Lego figurine to bring home for Hannah.
Taylor brought her polaroid everywhere we went. It was clunky and she got tired of carrying it, but she had a vision for some photos she wanted so she brought it anyway.
FAO Schwartz toy store was fun. Taylor got freeze dried candy and loved it!
Taylor has recently been obsessed with Taylor Swift, so we had to snap this photo at Madame Tussauds
The she promptly almost died....
Taylor was underwhelmed by the Statue of Liberty (she was mad at us for some reason). We had to keep telling her to stop walking and just look at it.
The night we went up the Empire State Building, the city was covered in clouds and we had no view at all. This is what we saw......
So, a few days later, we went to a new high rise next to the World Trade Center. It had a glass floor, so Taylor laid down. It was a bit freaky.
We finally got a good view with this cutie while we were there.
Taylor had a lot of fun. At the end of the trip, she asked if we could please go home and leave her there for a few more days. Translation: I am sick of you two, but not of NYC.
