First Day of School

Well, it was the first day of school last week, and this year we had two students. Both were super excited and not apprehensive at all.

Sydney has the same kindergarten teacher as Emma, so she was already familiar with the classroom, the schedule, the teacher etc. She was practically pushing me out the door while I tried to steal one more kiss and hug from my little, I mean, big girl.

She knew this was a big morning and was very willing to pose for me. I think she was finally glad to have pictures of herself on the first day of school.

Here she is at her desk, right before I said good-bye for the fourth time. Sydney is lucky because she knows several of the kids from her class already. But, she seems to have made new friends anyway, as she tells me about all the kids at recess. Isn't she the cutest kindergartener ever?

My two school girls! I can't believe they're growing up so fast. Aiden really misses them during the day. He will start a preschool next week, but it won't be enough to keep him busy. For the next few weeks, we're just going to get into a routine, and see what else we want to add to our schedules.

Beautiful girls. Love those first days of school, but . . .

What else YOU want to add to your schedules? Ha! Good luck with that one! I think RS will probably fill any spaces and then some, and kids' lives/needs/activities have a way of filling the spaces too. Still, it's nice to have a few happy thoughts!

Miranda, Syd is so cute! Huge grin on her face. And Emma is getting so tall. They both look so excited and full of life.
