We have a Graduate!!!!

Emma did it! 

We knew she would graduate, but we didn't expect her to be so successful.

 In the end, she was given 3 scholarships (NAU full tuition, Tubac Art winner for $3,000 and the White Elephant community scholarship for $20,000) !  She graduated as the 4th in her class.  She has been on the honor roll all four years of school and had a weighted GPA of 4.75.  

It has been so fun to see her become who she is.  She has really blossomed during her senior year.  She became more confident and friendly, which resulted in a whole bunch of new friends.  She started using a planner and was able to really stay on top of her things.  She also learned to study a little every day instead of waiting until there was a test.  I was so proud of her!

She has decided to go to NAU in Flagstaff.  It is a small, beautiful campus about four hours away.  The school is very good about helping Freshman transition to college life.  They have a lot of fun activities and groups for Emma to join and it is a fun, eclectic little town.  I think it will be a very good fit for you and I am so excited to see her grow even more.  She will be majoring in Engineering with a minor in Art.

Graduation week was a busy whirlwind, but I didn't cry once.  She enjoyed getting recognized for all her hard work.  I just love her!
