Summer wouldn't be complete without a trip to Utah. I drop Aiden, Taylor and Aurora Barrett up to my parents. The next day, Aiden got a ride with the Nielsens up to Rexburg Idaho where he and Alex attended Outdoor for Youth (an EFY type camp). He had a blast! He went white water rafting, did a ropes course, hiking, giant slip and slide.
He told me that he had the best group ever and made lots of friends. Many with whom he spent the next few weeks and months chatting with (especially a certain girl). I was so grateful he had a chance to go. Those kind of adventures are exactly what he loves doing and it is so hard for us to do them in AZ.
While Aiden was at OFY, Taylor and Aurora attended BYU Soccer camp. They create groups/teams according to grades so this was the first year Taylor was put with high school girls. She said it was fun and hard to play with seniors. She had a good time and really enjoyed having a friend there with her this year.
I just hung out at my parents house while the kids were gone. When they got back, we spent a few days with cousins. We went to a Utah Royals game and spent the day at a waterpark and spent a day at the Springville reservoir.
It was fun to watch some of the former BYU players play in a professional game. I enjoy watching when I know the players.
Aiden flew up to Utah a few weeks later with Logan and Tyler and they all went to soccer camp together. This was the only photo I got from Koa's mom. He said he had a great time and felt like he played well. I think he is enjoying the defensive line and working to become a good fullback.
