My wonderful second child

Have I told you how much I love Sydney?  That girl is so awesome. She is the best big sister ever.  Yesterday, she gave Taylor a bath, put lotion on her, got her dressed and did her hair.  Taylor loved it.  Sydney is naturally thoughtful and often gives up her wants so others can be happy.   As I type this, she is next to me on the couch listening to The Forgotten Carols.  She has the book and is singing at the top of her lungs.  She has never even heard these songs and yet, she is not holding back at all.  I love Sydney's innocence, how naive she is about the world.  She has true childhood wonder.  She asks the most poignant questions. I find myself chocking up often as I try to answer her inquiries.  She asks, "why does there have to be so many bad things happen before Jesus comes again?  Why do some people's daddy's die?  Will heaven be beautiful?" She is a curious and thoughtful girl.  I hope Sydney never loses that sparkle in her eye and that adorable dimpled smile.
