Our family is growing up!!

The end of summer always means birthdays for our family.  Taylor had a cake decorating birthday party and insisted on using one of the cakes for smashing her face into.  Why is that so fun?

Aiden turned 14 and got a phone.  We don't see his face much anymore.

He decided to run with the cross country team at school and has enjoyed watching himself get faster and his muscles get bigger.  He can only attend a few of the meets and has to leave early most days for soccer, but he still enjoys participating.

Sydney turned 17, but we were too busy to do much.  This girl is doing a show (Charlie Brown), taking 2 dance classes (plus a 3rd at school), weekly voice lessons, and monthly piano lessons.  It is so nice for her to have her own car to get to all the places she needs to be.

We also dropped Emma off at college!

I can't believe I have a college-aged daughter.  I have such vivid and fond memories of my Freshman year at BYU and it seems like it was only a few years ago.   We only had one day to get everything done (Aiden's birthday was the next day), so it was an exhausting and emotional day.  We are so proud of this girl and all she has accomplished so far.  College will be a new and exciting experience and give her the opportunity to learn how to be an adult.  That is exciting, terrifying, and sad all at the same time.
