People keep asking me how Emma is doing at college, and I honestly don't know how to answer. Emma calls me crying nearly every week. Classes are hard, boys are sexist (she is one of 6 girls in a class of 80), she hates her job (at Starbucks), and she is always feeling tired and overwhelmed.
But, she is also making lots of friends (including a group of 4 other girls she plans on rooming with next year). She made it into the A Capella group (she REALLY wanted to do that!). She really enjoys her art class and seems to be getting decent grades.
So, how is Emma doing? I have no idea. She fine, and not fine. She's thriving, and also struggling to adapt. She's succeeding, but also really working hard to get it all done. IDK?! Parenting young adults is proving to be tricky and Brent and I are trying to learn how to best help her without overparenting.

| I sent her a hat since she was walking out in the sun so much |
She did come home last weekend for just one day, so we have a Hocus Pocus 2 movie night. It made my momma heart so happy to have all my kids home for one night.

Three weeks ago, Aiden got a concussion during a soccer game. There was a break away and he was running to get the ball when the goalie kicked it-hard. Aiden was only a few feet away and took the ball to his face. He hasn't been able to go back to soccer or cross country yet, and it has been hard to be patient as his brain heals. We are seeing a specialist this week who will be able to give us guidance/advice.

| This picture makes me worried but also, he looks so tough and cool with blood on his face! |
I have also volunteered to start a Drama Booster Club at the high school. The drama program struggles. Part of that is because of a lack of funds, so there is a need for fundraising and general parent support. With no teaching job this year, and my organizing business fairly slow, I decided I had time to help. Getting created was a ton of work, but now I hope we can get started on raising money and helping the program grow.

Looks like Emma is doing great, hope that Aiden recovered from that concussion.
