April was the beginning of the crazy spring. It felt like the beginning of a whole bunch of lasts, especially with Sydney graduating.
I was on the committee to help put together "Mormon Prom". The stakes here take turns hosting and all the 16-18 year olds in the area get to come to a Prom that has clean music, dancing etc. But, it's A LOT of work! It's basically like putting on a themed wedding reception. Our theme this year was Enchanted Forest Ball. Even though, I was technically on the food committee, I ended up helping a lot with decorations because I had time to spare and they needed help. We turned this hallway into foresty lighted path. Scott Nielsen built a tree for the DJ to be in and we hung greenery/plastic to form branches.
My favorite part was this outdoor eating area. Thankfully, the weather was perfect! Putting this lights up/down took hours
The food was a huge hit too. I had a committee of people to help but we were still bustling around all night keeping platters stocked.
Sydney got to attend with her date Jarom. She had a good time and it was fun to have her there.
April also means Ensemble. This was Sydney's last time partcipating (7 years) and she was honored as a student. Doing the ensemble was a big reason she has continued with piano lessons all these years.
Taylor played 2 songs, including a trio with these girls again. It's fun that she has friends she can do these things with.

In the middle of all this, we celebrated Emma's 20th (eek) birthday. We had four teenagers for a few months but now we have a 20 year old. It seems crazy! It was really fun to have her home for the weekend to celebrate.
